The Regency Library is now online for anyone who wants to learn more about their favorite time period!
Regency Library Online
by Cybil Solyn
The Regency Library was started in 2001 by Susan Broadwater in an effort to get valuable historic research materials to those who wanted them. For a nominal annual fee ($30-$45) she has scanned and transcribed everything from La Belle Assemble and The London Times, to journals and recipe books. Now she has put some of this information online free for the public at: http://www.regencylibrary.com/.
Rakehell has been a gracious receiver of Susan's work since the inception. Many of Rakehell's articles have been made possible by Susan's valuable research, and any author knows what an asset Susan's work is. If you even have tiniest interest in the real Regency period then be sure to subscribe. A new packet of research on Vauxhall Gardens will be available in October.
For anyone interested here is the archived interview with Susan about the start of the Regency Library http://rakehell.com/article.php?status=&id=62.
