Brook Street: Thief
by Ava March
I always like to do a little housecleaning for books that don't fall into the norm. Brook Street: Thief is a male/male erotic regency romance novel and currently available only in e-book format. If you don't enjoy either of those situations, this book is not for you.
Ben is determined that, one way or another, he is going to know if his sexual desires runs the way he thinks they do. He's listened to his friends over the years and has never felt about women that they do. Finding the club that caters to his specific leanings isn't difficult, but looking around, he figures out that finding a man that attracts him might be the hardest part. Then he sees Cavin and Ben knows without a doubt that he will never live the typical life of a gentleman.
Cavin has one job to do here tonight, bring home some rich fancy's money. Cavin lives in the Seven Dials with a street gang. Years ago he decided he was tired of being sold for sexual favors to anyone that was willing to pay. If he was going to have sex to line someone else's pockets, he was going to pick who he had to perform with. But all that changes when Ben tells him that Cavin is his first. Not only can't he steal from Ben then, but he starts to think about what he wants in life.
Ben is rich and Cavin is very definitely not. This could have very easily been a cliched, money solves everything story. But it wasn't. Ben didn't just offer to keep Cavin, and Cavin didn't ask Ben for help. In fact, Cavin didn't even tell Ben his plans. The way that it all unfold and their lives join together made sense, and made the story sweet.
This is the first book in a series, and I am definitely picking up the next one. If you are looking for something different, this is an easy read, and personally I say it was quite a nice little romance for so short a book.

It was only supposed to be one night. One night to determine once and for all if he truly preferred men. But the last thing Lord Benjamin Parker expected to find in a questionable gambling hall in Cheapside is a gorgeous young man who steals his heart.
It was only supposed to be a job. Cavin Fox has done it many times—select a prime mark, distract him with lust, and leave his pockets empty. Yet when Cavin slips away under the cover of darkness, the only part of Benjamin he leaves untouched is his pockets.
With a taste of his fantasies fulfilled, Benjamin wants more than one night with Cavin. But convincing the elusive young man to give them a chance proves difficult.
